Event Details

Stockbridge Community Cinema is pleased to bring Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Jean Martyn, to Stockbridge Town Hall where she will play an entertaining programme of film music on her piano.

Jean learned to play the piano at the age of 3 and obtained her piano grades through Trinity College of Music, London and obtained the prestigious Licentiate of Music degree from the Guildhall School of Music. She also studied jazz with the late, great Johnny Dankworth. Jean has performed regularly in Europe, America and extensively in the UK. She shot to fame in 2011, when she was a finalist in the ITV programme ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, watched by 14 million viewers (her performance can be seen on YouTube). She followed this by touring with the programme, playing to large audiences ranging from 7,000 to 20,000 in a number of top venues, including Wembley Arena and the 02 Arena.

Flexibility, fun and effervescence are the characteristics of a Jean Martyn performance, which reflects her extensive classical training and extensive repertoire.
